Foundation Tennis Program

Foundation Tennis Development have been lucky enough to run varying programs in a range of primary schools, middle schools and senior schools including Glenelg Primary, Paringa Primary, St Teresa’s Brighton, Cabra and Sacred Heart College. We offer a wide range of programs that can be tailored to suit the specific needs of the school:

Sporting schools

A fantastic starting point for schools looking to try tennis in their PE curriculum. Through the government sporting schools program, schools receive an equipment pack valued at $800 that will allow them to run tennis for years to come. Our coaches can then assist with the running of the program in variety of methods. Some have coaches run the first session before a teacher takes over, others utilize our coaching team for the entire time – it’s flexible and completely up to what your school needs.

In-School PE/Lunchtime Clinics

Whether it’s through sporting schools or another method, our experienced coaches can come to the school and run fun and engaging clinics during PE or lunch time. These are a great way to introduce students to tennis and develop their skills.

Hotshots Match Play Tournaments

Cap off your PE block of tennis with a fun tournament excursion to Somerton Park Tennis Club. Run completely by our coaches, students are put into teams and compete in a round robin style tournament that introduces them to competition tennis. Our courts at Somerton Park Tennis Club can cater for up to 90 primary school students in one tournament, allowing for maximum participation!

Afterschool Clinics

Looking to add some extra-curricular tennis to your school’s offerings? Our Afterschool Hotshots Tennis Program is a great way to add value to your school and provide students with extra-curricular sporting opportunities. These are run completely by our coaching team on campus once school finishes and can be performed in spaces such as courtyards, school gyms or outdoor courts. This program has been particularly successful in transitioning students into club competition, a sport they can now play for life!

School Team Coaching

Perfect for middle schools and senior schools looking to provide their tennis teams with high quality coaching and guidance. Our coaches have extensive experience coaching school teams of all ages and levels.
