In the Hellish year that was 2020, a beacon of hope was lit as a young naive named Brendan was introduced to this intriguing and unique sport by an up and coming village idiot that goes by the moniker; Dan.
For both men, having experienced a variety of martial arts over the years and a keen interest in the Middle Ages, the discovery of HMB proved to be a pleasant surprise to both of them, they had found a way to combine their love of fighting with their interest in Medieval times.
It would enable them to fight full contact using real steel weapons and armour. After some consideration, and with the knowledge that there was no local team in the Central Coast/Newcastle region, they decided to create their own, and thus the Raven Guard was formed.
They would love to see their team grow as this incredible sport gains even more traction in Australia. They train every Tuesday afternoon at the Morisset Showground 40 Ourimbah Street Morisset NSW 2264.
