In addition to the other announcements, as you can imagine the club expanding from just 2 teams to having fielded 8 teams last year the workload has increased as such we would like to let you know that we are currently looking for people to fill a number of roles in the club.
These roles are;
Secretary - Executive Commitee Member (training provided)Facilities Director- Executive Commitee Member (training provided)Programs/ Leadership development director- Executive Commitee Member (training provided)
Juniors coaches- Training provided and further development done with Melbourne Victory
Teams Managers- Training provided
It is especially beneficial for those currently at University or looking for work or already in their field that would like to broaden their skills and develop skills and expertise.
The areas that you deal and will gain skills in include (depending on the position and portfolio you work on)- Sports Management, Facilities Management, Policy Development, Governance, Procedure development, Administrative, Finance, Human Resources development and Management, Sports Coaching directorship, Community Development, Stakeholder management, Strategic planning, Advocacy on council, state and federal level, Conducting meetings and seminars and training sessions.
These are just some of the other areas that you will work in while volunteering for the club. Let alone the skills and experience you gain, the very act of volunteering for a community initiative will make a difference in your endeavours.
